River Island
Styling framework and redesign
I headed up a styling framework for River Island's developers, with training alongside it. A simpler, AB-tested navigation with fixed behaviour on scroll was one of the most visible changes.

The problem
River Island’s developers needed a shared way of styling the site, and parts of the UI, the navigation especially, had become cluttered.
What I did
I headed up the creation of a styling framework for the developers to use, built in SCSS and compiled into River Island’s bespoke CMS. Alongside the framework I ran training, so the team could pick it up and keep using it after the project.
A redesign was done as part of the work, in HTML and CSS on top of the new framework.

The navigation
One of the most visible changes was the navigation. We AB tested a new version that is less cluttered and stays fixed to the top of the screen as you scroll down.
