Privacy
Your details, kept simple.
This is my personal site. I don't run ads, sell data or send newsletters. Here's what happens to your details when you visit or get in touch.
Who I am
I'm Matt Maclennan, a frontend developer based in London, and I'm responsible for this site. If you have any questions about your data, email me at hi@mattmac.dev.
What I collect
Only what you choose to send me through the contact form or by email: your name, email address, company, and whatever you write about your project, role or site. I use it to reply to you and, if we end up working together, to do that work. I don't add you to a mailing list or share your details with anyone else for their own use.
How the contact form works
When you press Send, your message goes to a small Cloudflare Worker on this site, which passes it to Resend, an email delivery service, to deliver to my inbox. Resend only processes it to deliver the email.
Spam protection with Cloudflare Turnstile
The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks you're a person and not a bot. It runs invisibly when you send the form, using information about your browser and device. Cloudflare's use of this information is covered by the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum and the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
Hosting
Cloudflare hosts this site. Like any web host, it processes technical details such as your IP address and browser to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. I don't set any advertising or tracking cookies.
How long I keep things
I keep emails for as long as I need them to deal with your enquiry, and any work that follows. You can ask me to delete them at any time.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the personal data I hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Just email me. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
